LAFI is located in historic Mount Rainier, Maryland, a small town located on the northeast border of Washington, DC, sharing borders with the cities of Hyattsville, Brentwood, and Bladensburg.

By Car From Silver Spring Take East-West Highway (Route 410) going east. Pass Riggs Road and continue straight onto Ager Road. After Ager Road bears right and becomes Queens Chapel Road, take a left turn on first light at Chillum Road, which becomes 34th Street. Continue until intersection with Rhode Island Ave (US Route 1) From Virginia/Springfield Take I-395 north to the 14th Street exit. Take a right on Constitution Ave. and then take a left on 12th Street NW. Take a right turn on Rhode Island Avenue and then left on 34th Street. From Virginia/Wilson Bridge and Southern Maryland Take I-295 north. At the intersection of Route 50 and I-295, take Kenilworth Avenue exit. Go West on Bladensburg Road (MD-450) and then take a right turn on 38th Street. Take a left turn on Rhode Island Avenue (US Route 1), and take a right turn on 34th Street. From Washington DC Take Rhode Island Avenue east until crossing the MD-DC border at Eastern Avenue. Rhode Island becomes Rt. 1 north towards College Park. Continue north a couple of blocks to reach the roundabout at Rhode Island (Rt.1) and 34th Street in Maryland, left onto 34th Street, just one block from the MD-DC border. From I-495/I-95 Exit at College Park/US Route 1 south. Go about 3.5 miles straight past the University of Maryland, College Park. Take a right turn onto 34th Street. From Baltimore City and Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (I-295) south, exit on Bladensburg Road west. Take a right turn on 38th street, left on Rhode Island Ave., then right on 34th Street. From Dulles Airport Take Dulles Toll Road (VA-267) east, and follow I-66 east towards Washington DC. Continue onto Independence Avenue and take a left on 12th Street, going north. Take a right onto Rhode Island Avenue (US Route 1) north and pass Eastern Avenue. Take a left on the Mount Rainier Circle to 34th Street. By Public Transportation Bus rides are $1.10 from the nearest Metro stations. If you get a Transfer, it’s only 25 cents. From Rhode Island Metro Station (Red Line) Take the 81, 82, 83, 84, 85 and 86 Metro buses, or the T18 Metro Bus to Mount Rainier. Get off at the Mount Rainier Terminal Station on the northeast corner of Rhode Island Avenue (US Route 1) and 34th street. From West Hyattsville Metro Station (Green Line) Take Bus 12 (The Bus) towards Chillum Loop, or the F1 Metro Bus towards Cheverly Station. Get off at the Mount Rainier Terminal Station at northeast corner of Rhode Island Avenue (US Route 1) and 34th Street.
